Luxury In The Forest Loved our stay here. Gorgeous deluxe suite, absolutely perfect for a family of 3. Clean, modern, spacious, private, we couldn't fault it. Very very happy, will definitely stay again. Will also happily recommend to family and friends.
Perfect for Families We stayed here during the July school holidays with 3 kids, 2 adults. Awesome facility for families with houses to rent. Restaurant on site was fantastic with great kids menu and awesome staff who were great with kids. House/rooms were super modern and warm, TVs in every room and great free unlimited wifi. Would definitely stay here again.
This is by far the best hotel I've... This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Far better than the cordis, but with a range of options to suit any budget! Staff are lovely and extremely generous, and the deluxe rooms are incredibly cheap for what you get. I think I will have to return here every year for the rest of my life. 10 stars out of 5!! 100 stars!!! All the stars!! Better yet, the whole place is pet friendly, so no family member need be left behind (although I think horses might be a bit difficult). Honestly, it was worth travelling from Auckland to Franz Josef just to stay in this hotel. Cannot express how wonderful my time here was!
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. One night in the deluxe treehouse apartment. Hot tub outside on the wooden deck amount the New Zealand ferns is truly magical. Excellent service with a smile and the rooms are Absolutely epic and extremely clean. Will be back again with my family. Thank you very much.
Beautiful apartment with a spa We had the deluxe villa which was lovely sized 2 bedrooms with comfy beds and warm snuggly duvets and their own en-suites. The lounge was also of a good size with a fully functioning kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. Surrounded by native bush and a spa on the deck there was no better way than to spend the evening looking at the the stars which a super clear due to the lack of light pollution. There’s a restaurant/pub onsite that is suitable for the whole family if you chose to eat out. With the deluxe room we got breakfast in the room and all the drinks and nibbles in the room included which was also a bonus. Easy to park and with in walking distance of the shops and other restaurants it’s a perfect base to see more of the West Coast!
Highly recommended We couldn't recommend this place more. We stayed in a powered site with our two young children and had a fantastic time. It rained most of the time we were there but there was still plenty to do. Would love to come stay again!
Highly recommended Well done to the team at the rainforest camp such a beautiful spot, and everything is so well organised friendly staff, amazing special rates we loved the kids eat free Offer at the restaurant (which is a very cool spot too) made us go out for dinner (twice) which is a treat for us as we are on a budget. This is probably the best value and nicest place we have stayed cannot recommend enough! Also check out west coast wildlife centre to see the kiwis awesome experience
Fantastic Holiday Park We have recently returned from a Camper Van holiday around the South Island and I can wholeheartedly say that this was the best holiday park that we stayed in by far. Sites were stunning, all surrounded by the native rain forest, facilities were very clean and warm, the bathroom even had hairdryers and hair straighteners available for our use. Little things like that, that made Rainforest Retreat stand out. We went to the onsite bar/restaurant for dinner, it was warm and welcoming, dinner was delicious and the kids were entertained with the pool table. There was a walk around the park through the rainforest which was great for the kids to explore. Will definitely stay here again, will try the lodges/rooms next time.
Awesome place to stay. Oscar and his... Awesome place to stay. Oscar and his team went out of their way to look after us with excellent room rates, generous complimentary breakfast each day and the kids ate for free at Monsoon where the food was delicious. Will definitely be back again. Great range of accommodation and facilities including hot tub. Can't beat this place at any time of the year!
Rainforest Retreat Franz Josef I feel sorry for other accommodation providers as they will seem ordinary after staying here.Family of 4 in the motel rooms. Slick pricing but more importantly an 'experience'. Native bush setting amazing.
